Lex Hearth started her career in advertising working first at Leo Burnett, Sydney, followed by three years at BBH in London managing global brands including Samsung, British Airways and Audi. She went on to run the first major communications campaign for Uber. After this she joined the in house marketing team at Nike, overseeing Digital Marketing, Partnerships, Editorial Strategy and Membership. She was honoured with a Nike Maxim Award for unique contribution. After taking a three month career break to make music, she joined specialist studio, Consul, to guide Reebok through its European licensing transition, rewriting their brand book, comms approach and narrative. While at Consul she also led strategy and 360 marketing for Off-White, LEGO and +44 (Lewis Hamilton).
Lex has been featured on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, and BBC Radio 2. Her first podcast, was recognised by Esquire as one of their top cultural podcasts two years running, and in 2024 she co-founded a community of independent writers under WritersIRL. She now runs Startup Brand Lab, a marketing consultancy for early-stage companies, and has built her own brands with that knowledge including DMD Records Ltd. She speaks at industry events on building and sustaining creativity, bridging corporate marketing expertise with entrepreneurial reality to help founders define their brands and scale with confidence. Her ultimate motivation is to inspire creativity in individuals and help founders keep their mission on track.
