DMD is a new ecosystem for music, blending a record label with storytelling and content exploring the evolution of dance music and deep house in particular. It was founded by Lex Hearth in 2024, initially as a newsletter on Substack, before expanding to a record label and event curator in 2025.

 

As a DJ Lex has been spotlighted on BBC Introducing Dance, BBC 1Xtra, and played in Bali, Ibiza, Sydney, Amsterdam and London. DMD stands for two things: Dance Music Digest and Deep Minimal Dance.
