About Lex Hearth
Lex Hearth is a DJ, music producer, and entrepreneur with a unique ability to operate across the worlds of creativity and business with equal passion. She is the founder of DMD Records Ltd — a record label, media platform, and events company dedicated to dance music, inspiring design, and increasing equity and representation in the industry — and Startup Brand Lab, a marketing consultancy helping early-stage companies build brands that become category leaders.
Her marketing career began at Leo Burnett in Sydney before moving to BBH London, where she managed global brands including Samsung, British Airways, and Audi. She went on to lead the rollout of Uber's first major campaign, before joining Nike's in-house team, overseeing Digital Marketing, Partnerships, and Membership — a tenure recognised with a Nike Maxim Award for unique contribution. Since then she has guided Reebok, Off-White, LEGO, and +44 (Lewis Hamilton) through brand strategy, and operates as a fractional CMO and consultant.
In music, Lex has carved out a distinct presence in the UK electronic scene with her signature blend of deep house, deep tech, and tribal-influenced sound. A former monthly resident at Bloop London and Voices Radio in Kings Cross, she has been featured on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1Xtra, and Reprezent, and was named Foundation FM's One to Watch 2022. Her track 'Candela' was described as the official song of the summer by BBC Introducing host Jess Iszatt. Her EPs 'Romantic Situations' and 'Explorer' further cemented her reputation as a producer with a clear and committed creative direction. As a DJ, she has supported Hannah Wants, Kolter, L.P. Giobbi, and Kilimanjaro, and holds a residency at Lau.ra's WONK club alongside the next generation of UK dance artists.
Her first podcast was recognised by Esquire as one of their top cultural podcasts two years running. She is the co-founder of WritersIRL, a community for independent writers, and a sought-after speaker on creativity, brand building, and what it takes to build a life across more than one discipline.
